The EUROVELO cycling route is a project of the European Cycling Federation (ECF), through which the European Cycling Network is being developed. It is made up of 12 trans-continental routes spanning the entire continent over 60,000 km. The Euro Velo 6 route connects the Atlantic coast with the Black Sea. The route departs from France and goes through Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Bucharest and Constance. Part of this route that accompanies the Danube is called the Danube Cycling Route (DBR, Donauradweg) and follows the flow of the river from Budapest to its mouth, and the part of Route 6 that follows the river through Serbia is 667 kilometers long. The entire Danube Cycling Route in Serbia is marked with signposts in accordance with the standards of the European Cycling Federation.
